Kathleen Holloway, CDP
Professional Care Manager
Kathleen loves to share her professional journey with clients, especially her work with older adults. Inspired by her mother’s passion for helping those in nursing homes, Kathleen began accompanying her mom at an early age. She quickly grew to love the “performance stage” that working with older adults provided. Kathleen found joy in enriching seniors’ lives with activities beyond the traditional Bible, Birthday, and Bingo. With a classic clown demeanor and a huge heart, she set her sights on working in senior living facilities throughout her high school and college years.
Early in her career Kathleen discovered her own passion was working in memory care units at assisted living facilities. She trained staff to execute specialized activities she helped develop. Over time, her role expanded to regional positions, where she trained others in the unique and loving care of individuals with memory loss. This experience led her to various executive director positions in Houston. As a lifelong learner, Kathleen has never stopped researching the medical and practical aspects of dementia in older adults and its impact on their families.
Kathleen graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. She is credentialed as a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Assisted Living Manager. Her education in business and dementia issues, combined with her practical experience in facility operations, maximizes her effectiveness with clients and families alike.
